<![CDATA[KStack 1.254: staging copies for NodeBB, Wiki.js and Flarum]]>KStack 1.254 is rolling out to every node this week. The headline: staging copies now work for Node.js catalogue apps, not only WordPress.

What's new

  • NodeBB, Wiki.js and Flarum get a staging copy with its own database, refreshed from live in one click.
  • Push back to production takes a snapshot first, so a bad push is one restore away.
  • Coding agents can be connected to a staging site only. Live sites are never written to.

To try it, open a site, go to Advanced → Staging copy and press Copy the live site into it.

At 1 GB the asset build can run out of memory part-way, and visitors keep the old cached stylesheet.

The admin panel's restart does not reach the process manager, so the new build only goes live after that restart.
